My love for Wait for It — and, let’s be honest, all of Mariana Zapata’s books — knows no bounds. This was the second time I read it and I connected with it so much more this time around.
I have no excuse for just now having read Finding Cinderella. But truth be told, I pretty much totally forgot about it until I was pulling CoHo books for a bookstagram photo. I was really nervous about Van because, well, he wasn’t the most likable guy in Lucas. But OMG did I fall in love with him and this book. Van had some major grump going on, but underneath it all he was amazing.
Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors whose work I always enjoy. Lucas was no exception, even if I kinda wanted to shake sense into both characters at times. There was a lot of back and forth, but ultimately I liked where everything ended up. It was a good, solid read that totally fed my need for some hockey romance.
