TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

WHAT I’VE BEEN READING
I’m not back to reading at my pre-pandemic levels yet, but I’m certainly reading more with consistency than I have in months. I’m excited about that.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION
When I’ve not been working or sleeping this week, I’ve been doing a lot of sewing. I’ve also been researching opening an Etsy shop to sell these little fabric corner bookmarks. It seems every time I post about them on the ‘gram, I get multiple people asking to buy them, so it just might be time to do it. There’s a lot of winter left and it’s not like I’m getting out and doing a lot with the pandemic.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK
Yesterday was Derek Craven Day and, well, I couldn’t let that pass without memorializing it. I was also having a bit of “A DAY” at work, so I decided to venture out and find someplace fun to photograph this beauty. This is part of a new mural just a few miles from my apartment, so you’ll likely be seeing it again. Oh and if you’ve not yet read this book, DO IT.

WHAT’S HAPPENING
“What isn’t happening?” might be a better question, honestly. Work still shows no sign of slowing down. I’m still doing a billion little things around my new apartment, though I am mostly settled in. But it seems like there’s always something to do. I’m reading more often than I have in months, so that’s wonderful. I can’t stop watching Bridgerton on Netflix. I’m doing a lot of sewing and, as I mentioned above, kicking around the idea of opening an Etsy shop. I guess I’m just really settling into this “new normal” at this point. Can’t change it, might as well just roll with it, right?
