The first (full) week of #ARCtober21 is in the books (hah, a pun!) and I thought I’d take a few minutes to talk about my progress. I’m happy with the number of books I’ve moved from my “to read” to “read” shelves, but they haven’t all been winners.

I’ll console myself over the abundance of DNFs by saying two of the four were books that have been on my NetGalley shelf for literal years. If had read them back closer to publication, I would’ve probably liked them. I’m just a very, very different reader now than I was back in 2015. The other two were more recent releases, but it’s not uncommon for me to struggle with some of the more recent “rom com” releases either.
