The dreamiest player on the Moo U hockey team hangs a flyer on the bulletin board, and I am spellbound:
Rent a boyfriend for the holiday. For $25, I will be your Thanksgiving date. I will talk hockey with your dad. I will bring your mother flowers. I will be polite, and wear a nicely ironed shirt…
Everyone knows it’s a bad idea to introduce your long-time crush to your messed-up family. But I really do need a date for Thanksgiving, even if I’m not willing to say why. So I tear his phone number off of that flyer… and accidentally entangle our star defenseman in a ruse that neither of us can easily unwind.
Who knew that Weston's family was even nuttier than mine? He needs a date, too, for the most uncomfortable holiday engagement party ever thrown.
There will be hors d'oeuvre. There will be faked PDA. And there will be pro-level awkwardness…

In Review: My Thoughts
I don’t read many new adult/college romances these days, but I had to make an exception for Sarina Bowen’s latest book, Boyfriend. The blurb sounded super fun and I love Sarina’s books, though it’s been a minute since I picked one up. I couldn’t start this one fast enough once I was approved for the audio review copy and I basically listened to it in one sitting. That’s pretty rare for me these days, so take that as a good sign.
Boyfriend was my first Moo U book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will I check out other books in the Moo U series since they’re from other authors? Maybe? See above re: not reading much new adult these days. But, I digress. I went into Boyfriend expecting a fun, flirty and sexy jaunt but ended up getting more than that. If “fake it till you make it” books are your jam and your pulse races a little when there’s only one bed, Boyfriend needs to be on your TBR. It was the perfect mix of sweet and sexy (Weston gives good dirty talk) with a dash of real-life issues. I loved it.
If you’re an audio reader, I highly recommend checking out this one on audio. If you’ve not yet listened to a Jason Clarke book, what are you waiting on? His voice is… unf. He brought Weston to life in a wonderful way. I wasn’t all too familiar with Emma Wilder going into this one, but I really enjoyed her performance too. Their audio was a really good way to experience this book and, at under 8 hours at regular speed (I listened at 1.5x), it’s not a huge time commitment.
Have you read any of the Moo U books?
Which should I check out?
