Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

WHAT I’VE BEEN READING

Small Town Pretender Kulti It Happened One Summer The Cornerstone

I’ve been very good at starting books this past week, but not as successful at finishing them. It’s not that they’re bad books or I’m DNFing them. I’m just terribly indecisive and I’ve also had limited reading time, which is a bad combination. I managed to finish one book — Small Town Pretender — and one very short audio — Amanda Gorman’s The Hill We Climb poem — this week. They were both five stars.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

I’m reasonably sure my only obsessions this week have been TikTok and sleep. 😂

It Happened One Summer

Honestly, I don’t even like the beach that much, but the beachy vibes here make me want to go anyhow.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

I can’t pinpoint exactly what made this week crazy, but it sure was. It didn’t feel as though Friday would ever get here. Thankfully it did and I have a four-day weekend. Better than that? I have a four-day weekend with NO PLANS. I’m hoping to get some reading and sewing done. I also might finally watch Ted Lasso. Speaking of sewing and a long holiday weekend, I am running a sale in my Etsy shop. All of my fabric bookmarks are 20% off now through Monday!
