While I’ve been selling print-on-demand products through stores like Society6, Redbubble and Zazzle for several years now, I haven’t offered items in my Etsy shop. Somewhat recently, I decided to add several digital downloads for some of my most popular designs to my store. It was a pretty quiet launch because I knew bigger things were around the corner. Namely, the addition of some crafty creations.
Fast forward a few weeks and I went all-in with a big splash when I added these super fun fabric bookmarks to my shop. I posted all over the internet… except here on my blog. 🤦🏻♀️ Lame, right?
I mean, aren’t these adorable?
The fabrics vary based both seasonally and on what I’m in the mood to make at any given time (and which fabrics I have in stock), but I try to add new styles to my shop every couple of weeks. You can favorite my shop and the bookmark listing to receive notifications, but the best thing to do is follow me on Instagram. I always tease out the new additions to my shop — and post when they’re live — on Instagram.
How did I get here? Well, shortly after the pandemic began last year, I went home to Pennsylvania to wait out the stay-at-home orders in the country with my folks. After several weeks of building jigsaw puzzles, I needed another hobby so I asked my mom to teach me to sew (again). I hadn’t touched a sewing machine since high school — and that was a long time ago. I fell in love with creating bookish goodies and especially with buying fabric. Now that I’ve been back in Virginia a few months and I’m (mostly) settled into my new apartment, I can devote some of my spare time to sewing again and I was ready to add some offerings to my shop.
So, if you’re looking for a bookish gift for a friend — or yourself (no judging here!) — stop by and take a look at my current offerings.
What are some of your favorite bookish (but not books) merch?
