Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

WHAT I’VE BEEN READING

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me Mariana Zapata Chasing Crazy Caste The A.I. Who Loved Me

I’ve recently knocked out a couple rereads and a(n overdue) book club read. I’m currently alternating between the audiobooks of Caste for the anti-racist working group at my office and The A.I. Who Loved Me for the pure joy it’s giving me.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

I am a glutton for punishment and have thus been rewatching Grey’s Anatomy again. I gave up on the show several years ago when they did one of my favorite characters SUPER dirty (*cough* George *cough) but I’ve been vaguely interested in the idea of catching up for awhile now. So, I started it all over from the beginning and OMG MY FEELS. I’ve had to skip a couple episodes that just hurt way, way too much to watch them. (*cough* George’s dad *cough*) I’m not sure how far I’ll make it this time before I nope out again, but it’s been… something.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

The A.I. Who Loved Me

I’ve been spending a lot of time listening to audiobooks lately, especially while I’m working and NOT in meetings. (Which isn’t all that often, tbh.) I also got to enjoy some sun this week after a fairly dreary February filled with snow and ice.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

I did a thing in the last couple of weeks — I launched my Etsy shop! At the moment, I’m selling digital (printable!) downloads of several of the designs I’ve created over the last few years. But, I hope to begin adding some of my sewing projects — namely the fabric corner bookmarks! — very, very soon. Keep an eye on my Instagram for updates. Other than that, it’s a whole bunch of “same old, same old” here. Work, some reading, some sewing, and a lot of Netflix mixed with projects around my apartment and a lot of driving just to get out of the apartment for a little while.
