My reading totally tanked towards the end of the year — not that it was so hot to begin with — but I did get back into a bit of a groove in December. You know, with a whole FOUR books. Kinda laughable considering I used to read four books in a week pre-pandemic. But, we’re all doing our best right now, right? And speaking of “best,” here are the books I loved in December.
The Naughty List by Ellie Mae MacGregor
What happens when you mix a smoking hot Santa and a sexy single Mom? Magic. That’s what. I loved Nikolai and Kate. Their chemistry and the way he appreciated (nearly worshipped) her really sold this one for me. I breezed right through this story in about 45 minutes and, while I wish it was a little longer because I’m a greedy reader, I was also really content with how everything wrapped up. And that epilogue gave me all the heart eyes.
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata
Yes, again. If you’re new here, you should probably get used to me mentioning this book any time I get the chance to do so. If you’ve been here awhile, you’re likely well aware of the love I have for every little thing about this book. My Christmas re-read was all I needed and more.
An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn
Like many folks, after watching Bridgerton on Netflix, I decided I HAD TO read the books. I’d read The Duke and I and The Viscount Who Loved Me ages ago, so I decided to pick up where I left off. I’m a sucker for a good Cinderella retelling and this one was wonderful. Benedict and Sophie’s story gave me all the feels.
What were your December favorites?
Have you read any of the ones on my list?
What’d you think?
