Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

Much Ado About You A Lady's Formula for Love The Bachelor Cowboy

Since I’ve not been reading all that much recently, I have tried to be really good about which ARCs I request or accept. Berkley got me yesterday with these goodies and I’m super excited about all of them!

Well Played The Worst Best Man Spoiler Alert

I’m not trying to jinx anything here, but I’ve actually been reading again. I know, right? ARCtober has helped motivate me in the way I’d hope it would. I’ve finished THREE BOOKS so far this week. Craziness! The best part? I loved each of them.

I know I’m late to the Hamilton party, but I just can’t get enough. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched this video in the last few days. Daveed Diggs is everything. 😍

When I struggle with my reading, my bookstagram creativity often also tanks. If I’m not actually reading, what should I post about? The struggle is real. This week, while I was in between books, I decided to recreate a look I’d seen in a stock photo but with my colors. I’m actually really happy with how this came out and intend to use it as a background for book or ebook shots sometimes going forward.

You may or may have not noticed it’s been pretty quiet around here lately. If I’m being totally honest, I just haven’t felt like posting at all. I’ve had very little reading motivation and even less when it comes to blogging. I thought things would get back to normal once I returned to Virginia — which I did back mid-September — but that was before I decided it was time to find a new apartment and move before the end of November. No pressure, right? So, my non-day job time has mostly been spent looking at apartments online and decluttering in preparation for moving. Just wish me luck, k? Moving during a pandemic might not be the best idea I’ve ever had, but it’s definitely time to get out of my current place.
