Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

WHAT I’VE BEEN READING

Just a Heartbeat Away The Opposite of You Rachel Higginson

I won’t call it a reading streak, but I’ve actually been able to read lately so I’ll take it. It’s been a couple of years since I read The Opposite of You, so I’m doing a long-overdue reread via audio. I am loving it. Vera and Killian are so great and the audio is wonderful. Cara Bastone is a new-to-me author and I literally just finished Just a Heartbeat Away. What a delightful book. If you’re up for an age gap with a single father, definitely check it out. I really enjoyed it.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

Did I share this before? It’s entirely possible. But I don’t care. I’m still obsessed with this mashup of awesomeness.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

The Last Train to Key West

Sometimes a quickly thrown together photo just works. I feel like this was one of those times. 😍

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Well, here we are in the middle of August. Crazy, huh? Nothing much new here. Just working, trying to move a little more, reading and blogging. Plus, you know, playing Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Nothing super exciting, that’s for sure.
