Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

WHAT I’VE BEEN READING

The Player Next Door The Wall of Winnipeg and Me Mariana Zapata The Last Train to Key West

I’m still reading! Hooray! Again, I’m not at pre-2020 reading rates just yet, but I’m hopeful I might get there at some point. And yes, I am reading The Wall of Winnipeg and Me again. Mariana Zapata announced her next book and one of my favorite secondary characters in TWOWAM is the hero in it. I’m so excited. Basically the first thing I did when I found out was starting TWOWAM for the 16th time. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ I am who I am!

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you might not know that I’ve taken up sewing as a new stay-at-home hobby. I’ve been obsessed with making book/tablet sleeves. This was my latest stack. And before you ask, no I’m not selling them. At least not yet. Who knows what the future will bring.

One of my favorite books of the year so far, no question. Plus I look kinda cute. 😉

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Oh look, it’s almost a new month. 😂 I’m not even sure where this one has gone. I’m just keeping on keeping on — working each (week) day and making myself get out and enjoy the sunshine while getting some steps in most days. I’ve been reading and blogging a little more and still sewing. Oh, and playing Animal Crossing, of course. You know, just settling into the “new normal”.
