That’s a Wrap: May 2020

That's a Wrap

We’re so far into June that I almost skipped out on doing a wrap-up post for May, but I decided better late than never. So, here’s my latest That’s a Wrap post!

May was another somewhat lackluster reading month. There were high points, don’t get me wrong. But overall my numbers were low and I even DNF’d two books. (Not THAT rare for me, but still worth noting.) With all that’s been going on in the world, it’s been super hard for me to focus on reading. Or anything bookish, to be honest. I had fewer Instagram posts and fewer posts here on the blog, too. I spent most of my free time in May sewing and playing Animal Crossing. Sometimes it’s good to unplug. And I’ve started June off by unplugging too. As is apparent by my wrap-up post happening mid-month. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Reading Challenges Update

First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! I forgot to grab a screenshot on the first day of June, but this isn’t all that far off I don’t suppose.

After deciding to DNF the first Romanceopoly last year, I knew I had to give it another shot this year. I’m coming after you, Romanceopoly 2020! I knocked out five books towards Romanceopoly in May, so I feel pretty good about that.

Looking Ahead

Much like with April, I find myself with no plans for May. πŸ˜‚πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I suppose I’ll head back to Virginia at some point in May, but I’m not sure when exactly. I can do everything for work as well from here as I can in Virginia, so why go back to a small apartment with zero outdoor space before I have to? My office may or may not begin opening on June 1, but that’s still up in the air. You know, like almost everything is right now. But it’s fine. I’m here in Pennsylvania. I’m safe and so is my family. Can’t ask for much more, right?

Now, onto the books!

June releases I’m excited about

A Dark and Stormy Knight The Boyfriend Project Experimental Marine Biology The Dare The Last Train to Key West 40-Love Daring and the Duke The Devil of Downtown

Want to stay up-to-date with upcoming romance releases? I can help with that. Check out my release calendar.

If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. I have a bookish one (@kimberlyfayereads) and a non-bookish one (@kimberlyfaye_). On the bookish one, you’ll find… lots of books. (And story templates dealing with books!) On the non-bookish one, you’ll find the other side of my life… my cats, travels, etc.

That’s a wrap! Be gentle on yourselves and make the best out of June. Stay safe and healthy, everyone! πŸ’•
