Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK

From Lukov with Love

If you saw my post earlier this week, I’ve been struggling to focus on reading for the last few weeks. I’m doing pretty well with novellas, audiobooks, and re-reads of old favorites though. It seemed like a darn good time to listen to From Lukov with Love again. I adore this book.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

Animal Crossing

Yes, I still can’t get enough of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I aspire to be as joyful as Carmen with her maracas in the background here.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

I wasn’t sure how this one would turn out when I had the idea, but I’m really pleased with it. Also, my mom better hope I don’t “accidentally” pack her flowers up in my stuff when it’s time to head back to Virginia. 😂

THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL

Welp, another week down. Today marks 43 days of staying at home. This week wasn’t all that much different than the last few. A little bit of reading, a lot of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and some bloggy and bookstagram things. I also did a bit more sewing AND bought myself a sewing machine. It arrived yesterday. I can’t wait to use it — and all the new fabric I bought — this weekend! The NFL Draft was a nice distraction last night. I’ve missed sports.
