Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK

Beautiful Beginning

I’ve not had a whole lot of luck concentrating on full-length books lately, so I’ve embraced the novella. I finally binged the remaining novellas in the Beautiful series this week. This one was so wonderful. It was smoking hot, of course, but also super freaking sweet. I loved it so much.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

This tweet isn’t necessarily an obsession, but it’s my new “normal”. I’m usually a to-do list person, but that’s not really been working for me lately. I saw this and decided to switch my mindset. It’s working for me, too.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Open Books

I *might* have bought a couple of new bookstagram props on Amazon once I got to Pennsylvania… I also searched through my mom and dad’s home improvement stuff to find another backdrop. Hooray for home renovations and leftover beadboard! It’s not the same as my goodies at home, but I’m adjusting.

THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL

It’s been three weeks since I started working remotely full-time and it’s been two weeks since I sought refuge in Pennsylvania. I’ve not done a ton of reading, but I’ve finished several jigsaw puzzles. I’ve also spent a good bit of time playing apps on my iPad. The reading will come back eventually, right? Other than that, it’s all about staying safe and healthy. And away from other people, of course.

It is! I feel solidarity with them, too. Some of my friends on Instagram have been talking about reading 30-40 books in March. I’m like… hoooooooow?!?
