TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
I finally got around to reading Dreaming of You! It’s been on my TBR for ages. So many of my romance reading friends say this is their favorite LK novel and I totally understand why. It was magical. 😍

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION
I don’t watch The Bachelor. I don’t typically get into reality TV. Full disclosure: I used to, but I cut it out of my life a few years ago when I realized I was watching waaaaay too much of it. Netflix kept recommending this show to me and, while I was sick on the couch the other day, I decided to give it a shot. Well, I watched all of the available episodes that day. New episodes were released yesterday and I’ve watched all of those, too. I NEED MORE. It’s such a train wreck, but I can’t get enough.

PHOTO(S) OF THE WEEK
It was really tough to pick a favorite photo this week. Not only am I really feeling my bookish photos these days, but I also went to the Library of Congress this week for their open house. It’s easily one of my favorite buildings in DC, but you usually can’t take photos in the main reading room. In fact, I’ve only been in there twice to take photos. Twice a year they open it up for the general public — and their cameras — and I couldn’t resist going on Monday. Believe me when I say photos do not do it justice.

THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL
I don’t have a lot to say about this week. 😂 Monday was a holiday and I spent a little bit of it at the Library of Congress. That was fun. I was back to work on Tuesday, but out sick Wednesday and Thursday. *sigh* I spent a lot of time napping and almost as much watching Love is Blind on Netflix. 🤷🏻♀️ I didn’t get a lot of reading done because I just wasn’t in the mood. Do you have a tough time reading when you’re not feeling well? It seems like that would be the perfect time to do it, but I struggle. I’d rather just stare at the TV until I doze off. Anyhow, I’m feeling better so I’m hoping not to waste my entire weekend!
