Hey, February! It’s nice to see you. What do you say we kick the month off with a little recap of January in my latest That’s a Wrap post?
Despite my best intentions to blog more consistently, I continue to struggle. I was convinced I would start January off strong and, well, I didn’t. I could sit here and pick apart all the reasons why, but I’m just going to move on. It was a busy month and, quite frankly, I should know that by now. It’s all about managing expectations, right? February will be better!
I didn’t quite get off to the start I wanted with my reading for January either, but I also really can’t complain. Any month where I read 11 books and 6 of them are five-star reads is ok by me. I reread my favorite book, discovered a few new authors and knocked several books off my TBR. What’s there to complain about? π€·π»ββοΈ
Life, on the other hand, was nuts. First, this month seemed to go on for like 14 weeks, but I still struggled to accomplish the things I wanted to. My big work trip to Austin was a total bust because my body quite literally rejected the city. Not kidding. I had a terrible allergic reaction to something β I’m thinking cedar β my first full day there. So the rest of the trip was a struggle. But since then I signed up for a StepBet, which has set my butt in gear on moving more. I’ve also had a wonderful massage, which was much deserved after that work trip.
I guess January wasn’t that bad all in all. π

First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! Welp. I’m a little behind. I’m unconcerned, though. I’ll catch up.
My goal for theΒ 2020 Tackle My TBR Reading Challenge is four books each month. I read six in January. I only reviewed one so far though. That’s something I need to get better about. I’ll update this post as I share reviews for these titles.

It’s my third year doing an audiobook-focused challenge and I decided to up my goal this year! Eeep! My goal for the 2020 Audiobook Challenge is FOUR books each month. A stretch? Maybe. But we’ll see what happens!

After deciding to DNF the first Romanceopoly last year, I knew I had to give it another shot this year. I’m coming after you, Romanceopoly 2020! (I’m just going to plan a little better this year.) Of course, there are actually MORE spaces this year if you plan to do both the sun and moon packs so we’ll see what happens!

Looking Ahead
Hopefully, February will be a pretty chill month. I need it after a January that was full of stressors and seemed to go on for years. The biggest thing I was looking forward to in February was the Super Bowl and that was last night. π Of course, it’s also my birthday month so that’s something? I’m hosting a challenge over on Instagram with my friend Kelly, so I’m excited to see everyone’s posts for that. Oh, and I’m hosting a buddy read for Kulti, too. π AND I put together a Galentine’s Book Exchange, so that was fun. I can’t wait to see everyone’s gifts and send mine off to the person whose name I got. It doesn’t sound all that chill now that I type it all out. π But here’s to bookish fun β and hopefully some snow!
Now, onto the books!
