Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK

Damaged Like Us (Like Us #1) by Krista & Becca Ritchie

Seriously y’all, why did no one tie me down and make me read this book before now? I know, I know. You tried. I can’t blame you. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I was ready to read about my beloved Addicted and Calloway Sisters series characters as parents. I guess I’m ready now. It was so wonderful to be back with them again AND get to fall in love with new characters like Moffy and Farrow. (Not to mention Jane and Sully and, well, most of them I suspect.) I can’t wait to continue this series!

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

JJ Watt is a god among men

Not that I needed one more reason to fucking love JJ Watt. But, if I did, here it is. He’s a god among men. It’s that simple.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Suddenly You

We had our first snow of the year in the DC area! Hooray! I mean, it wasn’t much but I was still damn near giddy about it. I love the snow. As long as I don’t have to drive anywhere in it, at any rate. ❄️

THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL

Considering this was my first full week of work since, I don’t know, October? I think I did fairly well. It was a doozy, too. Granted, I had a half-day snow day during which I worked from home AND I took another full WFH day, but still. I’m counting it as a full week. 😂 I got some crap work-related news earlier today, but I can’t say anything about it yet. But on the bright side? It’s the weekend now. I have a brand new iPhone 11 Pro. AND I get to hang out with some of my favorite bookish peeps tomorrow. Then there’s football after. I’m going to try to unwind and enjoy the hell out of my weekend before the convention insanity starts next week.
