HeaTop 10 of 2019

It’s the first day of the Top 10 of 2019 event I’m hosting with Ginger! I’m super excited to talk about a prompt that’s near and dear to my “too many books not enough time” heart — Books I Wish I’d Made Time to Read in 2019. My eyes are bigger than my reading capacity, so I often set out with the best of intentions only to fail miserably later on. It’s something I should probably work on in 2020…

Do you want to talk about YOUR bookish bests of 2019? Peep the sign-up post for details!

Brazen and the Beast by Sarah MacLean

Full confession: I’ve still not actually read the first book in this series either. I’m so embarrassed to admit it. I’ve heard so many amazing things about it, but I just never got around to making time. I’m in for one heck of a binge in 2020!

Not the Girl You Marry by Andie J. Christopher

I have absolutely no excuse for not reading this book yet. I mean, I got an ARC of it back in March at ApollyCon. 🙈 I’m going to read it soon. Promise.

A Prince on Paper by Alyssa Cole

I’m totally in love with Alyssa Cole’s series, yet somehow I haven’t been able to keep up with the new additions. I think I also have an unread novella in this series, too. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Moonlighter by Sarina Bowen

Yes, Sarina Bowen released a book in October and I still haven’t read it. I don’t even have an excuse.

How to Love a Duke in Ten Days by Kerrigan Byrne

How to Love a Duke in Ten Days

I don’t read nearly as much historical romance as I wish I did, but I was over the moon about this new series. But, I still haven’t made time to read this book. I have a lot of work to do in 2020.

Outmatched by Kristen Callihan and Samantha Young

Two authors I love team up to write what sounds like a delightful fake it till you make it/opposites attract story and I don’t drop everything to read it? What’s wrong with me? Oh, right… not nearly enough hours in the day.

The Right Swipe by Alisha Rai

The Right Swipe

I’m always intrigued by romances featuring technology and this one sounded wonderful. I’ve also really enjoyed books by this author in the past. The worst part is, I even started this one but ended up getting distracted and never getting back to it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Headstrong Like Us by Krista & Becca Ritchie

Headstrong Like Us

I promised myself 2019 would be the year I finally started reading Krista & Becca’s new series. And y’all, I’m mortified to admit I haven’t read a single one of them. I’m the actual worst. Maybe 2020 will be the year?

Blitzed by Alexa Martin

I loved the first two books in Alexa’s series, but I couldn’t manage to squeeze this one in this year. I’m so sad, too. It sounds wonderful and I’m in love with this cover. That look he’s giving her gives me life.

The One for You by Roni Loren

The One for You

Amazon | Goodreads

In fairness, this book hasn’t released yet. I still think I’ll get to read it before the end of the year, but we’ll see if that happens. It’s hard to find reading time at this point in the year. This series, though. If you’re not reading it, you should be.
