That’s a Wrap: November 2019

That's a Wrap

Holy crap, it’s December! November flew by so quickly. It’s hard to believe it’s time for another That’s a Wrap post, but here we go…

Perhaps the most shocking thing about this wrap-up post is that I’m actually getting it published on the first day of the new month. I have no idea when that happened last, but being on vacation certainly helps. And it’s not like I was overly active on the blog in November, so there’s not a whole lot to say. Hey, I clearly peaked with Blogtober. No one should be surprised by this. I’m not.

I had a great reading month in November. I split my time pretty evenly between ARCs and TBR books and I was really happy with almost everything I read. I’m back to taking public transportation to work again and that’s given me a good bit more reading time each day, which is one of the biggest benefits tbh. Two road trips definitely helped with the audio reading time, too.

I have a couple of blog projects I’m hoping to tackle in December, so be on the lookout for some cool new stuff soon(ish). I’ll also be announcing my Top 10 of 2019 Challenge AND 2020 Tackle My TBR Challenge soon. Keep an eye out.

If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. I have a bookish one (@kimberlyfayereads) and a non-bookish one (@kimberlyfaye_). On the bookish one, you’ll find… lots of books. (And story templates dealing with books!) On the non-bookish one, you’ll find the other side of my life… my cats, travels, etc.

Reading Challenges Update

First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! I’m so close, y’all. I hoped to wrap the challenge up in November, but I just couldn’t quite get there. These last ten should be a breeze. 🤞🏻

My goal for the 2019 Tackle My TBR is four books each month. I read 8 in November and reviewed exactly zero of them. So far, anyhow. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The theme for November was Favorite trope – second chance romance for me! – and I checked that one off with Twice in a Blue Moon. 😍

This is my second year in a row doing an audiobook-focused challenge. My goal for the 2019 Audiobook Challenge is three books each month. I didn’t quite get there this month, but I’m confident I’ll catch up in February.

As you might know, I decided to DNF Romanceopoly in October. To be clear, it’s definitely a case of “it’s not you, it’s me” because this challenge is freaking awesome. I just have commitment issues when it comes to longterm (and super specific) challenges. I should know myself better by now.

Looking Ahead

It’s hard to believe Christmas — and 2020, for that matter — are just around the corner. I’m looking forward to putting up my Christmas tree when I get back to Virginia from Thanksgiving vacation. Then I plan to read all the Christmasy romances and probably watch a fair number of Hallmark Christmas movies, too. I still haven’t decided how much time I’ll take off for Christmas, but I should probably get to that soon. I know December will just fly on by, so I’m just buckling up and going for the ride.

Now, onto the books!

December Book(s) I Need in My Life Immediately!

I was super lucky to receive review copies of each of the December releases I’m most excited about. Now I just need to read them…

December releases I need to read immediately!

These upcoming releases are at the top of my TBR! Soon, my pretties, soon.

Blitzed The One for You

Book(s) YOU need in YOUR life immediately!

I didn’t get to any December books in November, but I can tell you a spring title that should be on your radar. This book was everything.

That’s a wrap! I hope you have a great month ahead!
