TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
Full disclosure: I’ve not finished this book yet. In fact, I’m less than halfway through the audiobook, but I’m 1000% in love with it. It’s smart, witty and charming. I can’t get enough of Chloe or Red.
THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION
Kevin Harlan’s Westwood One radio call of the cat on the field is, as you might expect, an all-time great call. How much of a pro is Harlan? He worked a sponsor read into it. pic.twitter.com/3x0MVNEHNY

This cat’s jaunt around the stadium during the Monday Night Football game pretty much made my week. And this call is the absolute best. I’ve literally lost track of how many times I’ve watched it.
PHOTO OF THE WEEK
I know it’s not Thanksgiving yet, but damned if I’m not starting to get into the holiday spirit. I’ve already read one Christmas romance and I started another one this week. My Christmas romance TBR floweth over, so I decided to get an early start on both reading and posting. I just love all the Christmas vibes in this photo. It also marks the debut of my #MassMarketsNeedLoveToo hashtag. After mass market romances were entirely shut out of the first round of the Goodreads Choice Awards, I realized it was time to talk more about those mass market books.
THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL
I don’t have a whole lot to say about this past week, to be honest. It started off with me having to cancel a bookish event I was really excited about because I was getting over some sort of stomach bug. Not a great start to a new week. Work was crazy busy. I’m still juggling about a billion things. But hey, it’s Friday and I have a long weekend ahead of me. It’s not all bad. I’m looking forward to a lot of reading time over the next few days. Here’s hoping!
How was your week?
