Hey, November. What’s up? You sure got here in a hurry. I’m not mad though. Let’s take a look at my October recap in my latest That’s a Wrap post!
But for real, how is it there are less than two months left in this year? Hell, this DECADE? Time sure flies. All in all, October was a pretty decent month. I read more books than I had in recent months, I rocked out my Blogtober challenge and I came oh-so-close to hitting my ARCtober goal. I wasn’t as active over on Instagram, but that’s ok. Clearly I was in need of a little break from it. (Of course, with the amount of time I spent on my organization’s brand account in October, it’s no wonder.)
The non-bookish side of life was pretty good, too. Football is in full swing so you know I’m in my element. Even if both of my teams are having rougher seasons than I’d like. Oh well, can’t win them all, right? I wasn’t sure I’d get a chance to go to a WVU game this year because the calendar wasn’t aligning well, but I made it happen. We lost (of course) but I still had a great time. It was nice to be home again. I’m so happy it’s finally autumn. I wasn’t sure it was ever going to arrive this year.
If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. I have a bookish one (@kimberlyfayereads) and a non-bookish one (@kimberlyfaye_). On the bookish one, you’ll find… lots of books. (And story templates dealing with books!) On the non-bookish one, you’ll find the other side of my life… my cats, travels, etc.

Reading Challenges Update
First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! Because I was a little late getting to my October wrap-up, I didn’t grab a photo on the first day of November. But close enough!
My goal for the 2019 Tackle My TBR is four books each month. I read exactly that in October. AND I even reviewed most of them. Hooray! The topic for October was Favorite trope and I ticked that one off the list with That Forever Girl. Second chance romance is my jam, y’all.
This is my second year in a row doing an audiobook-focused challenge. My goal for the 2019 Audiobook Challenge is three books each month. I totally did it, too. Thank goodness for road trips. And guess what? They’re all full-length books. Yay, me!
If you saw my update last month, you know I was grappling with whether or not to DNF Romanceopoly. Somewhere around the middle of the month when I realized I hadn’t yet read a single Romanceopoly book, I decided to make it official. It’s definitely a case of “it’s not you, it’s me” because this challenge is freaking awesome. I just have commitment issues when it comes to longterm (and super specific) challenges.
Not to beat a dead horse, but it’s so hard to believe it’s November already. This will be a busy month, but I’m mostly ready for it. I have two trips to Pennsylvania planned and I’m already looking forward to getting out of DC for a few days. That’s probably a bad sign, right? 😂 November is also full of some great new releases, so I’m really excited about diving face-first into my TBR. I’m hoping to keep up the momentum gained during Blogtober, but stay more consistent on Instagram, too. Oh and maybe most of all? I’m looking forward to Hallmark Christmas movies AND Christmas romance novels. I legit might put my tree up this weekend…
Now, onto the books!

Some of my most-anticipated book(s) of the month… or the one(s) I haven’t received an early copy of, anyhow. 🙂
November releases I need to read immediately!
These upcoming releases are at the top of my TBR! Soon, my pretties, soon.
