TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple of iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
I love Penny Reid’s books and am especially fond of the Winston Brothers. I was sad when I tried to read Beard with Me a few weeks ago and had to stop because it was just too sad and disturbing. That said, I still couldn’t wait to get my hands on Beard Necessities. I *needed* Billy and Scarlet’s HEA. This book was everything. As sad as I am to see the Winston Brothers series end, I can’t deny this was the perfect way for it to go out.
THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION
We never stopped believing.
We never stopped dancing.
We STAYED IN THE FIGHT.
We FINISHED THE FIGHT.

Baseball isn’t really my sport of choice, but I’ve been borderline obsessed with the Nats in their post-season run. I’m living for all the celebration content since they won on Thursday morning.
PHOTO OF THE WEEK
My favorite season + my favorite book of the week + my favorite new book sleeve = my favorite photo of the week. Doesn’t it just scream autumn? 😍
THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL
This week started off strong with the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk last Saturday. That was a lot of people-ing, so I was pretty lazy the rest of the day. Two-hour nap, ftw! I spent Sunday reading and doing some adulting around the apartment. The week was going pretty well until I ended up with food poisoning or a stomach bug, too. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s knocked me down for two days. I’m just now finally starting to feel more human. Also terrified to try to eat actual solid food, but I guess I have to break the seal sooner or later right?
How was your week?
