Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. It’s gone through a couple iterations now, but I’m pretty happy with where it’s landed.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK

Lord of Scoundrels

I totally understand why most of my hardcore HR girls tell me this is one of the best ever written. It was amazing. Jess and Sebastian were EVERYTHING. As soon as I finished it, I basically wanted to start it over again.

THIS WEEK’S OBSESSION

I’ve lost track of just how many times I’ve watched this video now. ? My bestie, who is a mom of three, assures me her boys are just as obsessed with this song as the kids in this video. This is pure joy and it’s amazing. (Oh he starts singing about 3:30 if you want to skip ahead.)

PIC OF THE WEEK

Lord of Scoundrels

Lord of Scoundrels has been on my TBR for freaking years. Basically since I discovered my love of historical romance back in 2015 and everyone started recommending it to me as one of the “best of the best” of HR. For some reasons, last weekend I wanted nothing more than to read it. Finally. So, I did. I also took a photo of it in front of a heart wall I’ve wanted to visit forever. Love it.

THIS WEEK IN A NUTSHELL

This was another short, but super freaking busy week. Maybe that’s my new normal. I guess I’ll adjust at some point, right? I enjoyed my long weekend last weekend. I’d have enjoyed it even more if it was about 2 or 3 days longer. I’d have loved to get more reading done. But no, I had other responsibilities. ? I’m glad to see another weekend. I can use it. It’s a zero plans weekend, too, which is probably good because I’m hosting the Tackle My TBR 2019 readathon. Now to decide which books to tackle this weekend…
