Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK

I Want You Back

I’ve been looking forward to continuing my love affair with Lorelei James’ Lund clan since this book was first announced. It was worth the wait! I adored this one.

WHEN I WASN’T READING

Oh boy, this was a week. A WEEK. Work has been kicking my butt. So are my allergies. In addition to all that, my apartment complex decided it was necessary to spray/treat for mice (which, to be clear, I’ve never had issues with) so I had to basically destroy my entire department so they could gain access to the closets and cupboards. I also had to leave the apartment (with the cats) for about three hours, so that’s fun. I did put the time to good use though, by donating close to 100 books to Little Free Libraries in my community.

PIC OF THE WEEK

I took advantage of my work from home day on Thursday to do a little bit of cherry blossom peeping at sunrise. This is one of my favorite shots.

LOOKING AHEAD

After all the stress of my work week, I’m looking very much forward to a chill weekend. I have some errands to run and some adulting to do, but I’m also planning on quite a bit of reading time. Basically the perfect weekend, right?
