Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK

Be the Girl

I adore K.A. Tucker’s books and her first YA contemporary was no exception. Be the Girl was full of feels and swoon. It was a thought-provoking, unexpected and absolutely gorgeous book.

WHEN I WASN’T READING

Ok, so I should probably be refreshed after my long weekend, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t ready for another couple days off. I can’t even say work was that busy because there’s always a strange lull coming off convention, but there was just a lot going on. We had our post-convention luncheon on Wednesday and that was a lot of fun. Thursday I worked a half day and then went to see a friend who is in the hospital. Just a lot of THINGS this week. But I also made some time to read, so that’s a good thing. I’ve missed reading.

PIC OF THE WEEK

Luna and the Lie

I finally remembered to order my print copy of Luna and the Lie. ?I love it so much. Als0, just holding it in my hands made me want to reread it so I’m back to eagerly awaiting its release on audio.

LOOKING AHEAD

I’m looking forward to another chill weekend. I still need to finish unpacking, or doing laundry anyhow, from my NOLA trip, but other than that? I have no plans outside of reading and relaxing. My first (almost) full week back in the office has been seriously tiring. I think I’d be 100% content if I don’t leave the apartment at all this coming weekend.
