TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
Full disclosure: I’m just a little over halfway through this book but I am totally loving it. I’m kicking myself for not being able to find more reading time this week because I really want to finish it. I think when I get home tonight from my massage, I’m going to pour a glass of wine and read until I finish or fall asleep, whichever happens first. That’s my kind of Friday night.
WHEN I WASN’T READING
I got back from Thanksgiving vacation on Monday and started back to work on Tuesday. It’s been A WEEK. I’m trying to get back into the grind, but it’s been tough. It’s like every single person needs SOMETHING from me. I’ve been exhausted when I get home, so I’ve not been getting much accomplished. I did try out my new Instant Pot (well, Crock Pot version anyhow) the other night and I’m seriously impressed. I’ll be scouring the internet for new recipes this weekend. Other than that? Nothing much of note. And I’m cool with that.
PIC OF THE WEEK
Even though my tree isn’t entirely completed — aka I put it up and the lights are on, but no ornaments or anything yet — I’m slowly getting in the holiday mood. Expect more holiday romance reviews — and photos! — soon.
I think I’m suffering from vacation hangover this week and, quite frankly, I can’t wait for 3:30 this afternoon. I know I just had a week+ off work, but I need a couple more days to get my life back together. First up, a nice and relaxing massage this evening. Beyond that? I want to decorate my Christmas tree and get my apartment put back together. I also need to take a couple weeks’ worth of book photos, so I’ll undoubtedly be busy.
How was your week?
