Monday Musts

Oh, hey it’s the start of a new week and you know what that means — a new Monday Musts post! Are you ready to see what I’m calling a Must Read, Must Listen and Must See this week?

Elise Maxwell is loving her first Christmas with her husband, Jay Smith. So far, newlywed life has been filled with laughter and lots of steamy marital "bliss." But when Elise discovers she's accidentally, against-all-odds pregnant, happily-ever-after screeches to a halt. Although she sees it as a Christmas miracle, Elise knows her new husband might not agree...

Jay never wanted to be a father. In fact, he's avoided it his entire life, worried he'd repeat the patterns of his own messed-up childhood. He's madly in love with Elise and, until now, he thought they were on the same page about not having children. But her surprise pregnancy changes everything. Elise is suddenly committed to parenthood, and Jay knows he can't lose her. Facing his deepest fears will be difficult, but with a little holiday magic, Jay might be able to prove to Elise that - as a family - they're destined to live merrily ever after.

The Bridesmaids Behaving Badly is one of my favorite series discoveries of 2018. I’m a sucker for a good holiday novella, so I was thrilled to learn Jenny was releasing one. It was a one-sitting read for me. It made me swoon, blush and even cry. Merrily Ever After isn’t exactly a light and fluffy novella, as it deals with some heavy stuff, but it wasn’t too angsty either. I adored it! If you’re reading this series, you’ll absolutely want to read this one. If you’re not reading it yet, you could still enjoy this story without any prior knowledge. So good!

Must Listen

Kane Brown is definitely one of my new faves. This song gives me all the feels.

I’m homesick
This feelin’ that I’m feeling’
No, it don’t quit
It’s like half of me is missin’
Heaven knows it that all I wanna do
Is be alone with your brown eyes all tangled up
Just holdin’ onto you tonight
Until the mornin’
Baby that’s the damn truth
If home is where the heart is
Then I’m homesick for you

Must See

Ok, I don’t know that three photos of me qualify as “must see,” but I’m just going with it. I’m too lazy to upload any of the videos from the WVU game on Friday. (But you can see them on my Instagram if you feel so inclined.) The game didn’t have the ending I wanted, but it was a great time regardless. And it was one hell of a game. My mom and I had a fun time tailgating with my friends Kelly (a bookstagrammer I met for the first time on Friday) and Rebecca and her friends/family.

I have a lot of thoughts and feelings after the last game of what was a pretty amazing season — but one full of the ups and downs I’ve come to expect from my beloved Mountaineers. This blog post sums them up perfectly. It’s basically like this writer took the thoughts from my head and just made them sound better. ?
