TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK(S) OF THE WEEK
It’s rare that I have a reading week quite as good as this one has been. I can’t choose favorites between these four books. They were each amazing in their own right and they’re stories that’ll stick with me for a long time for different reasons. Best make sure they’re all on your TBR!
WHEN I WASN’T READING
I spent most of last weekend — a three-day weekend — decluttering my bedroom. I brought 8 bags of trash — mostly clothes that weren’t worth donating — out of my bedroom. I’d also done a bit of a shelf purge and donated 60ish books to local Little Free Library locations. Other than that it’s been work and reading. Oh, and a tough of some sort of stomach bug that led me to miss work one day. Good times.
PIC OF THE WEEK
Well, it’s a sad weekend in Washington, DC. Literal Nazis are taking to the streets, so I’ll be spending my time in my apartment. I’m not sure I’m leaving at all, unless it’s to go to the grocery store or the gym. I’m sad and angry and a little bit scared after what happened when this same group marched in Charlottesville last year, so I’m not taking any chances. I think I’ll continue my decluttering project and read. And probably watch the Harry Potter movies.
How was your week?
