That’s a Wrap: July 2018

That's a Wrap

It’s August! Holy crap, is this year flying by or what? I’m actually ok with it though. You know why? Because football season is right around the corner and I AM SO READY.

July was a super busy reading month. I didn’t do a whole lot of anything else, save for spending some time at home with my folks in Pennsylvania. If it wasn’t disgustingly hot and humid this month, it was raining. Or, you know, both. Good times. Both rain and extreme heat/humidity zap my will to do anything, so I didn’t get into much last month. I did find a little bit of outside time, but nothing particularly exciting. I read A LOT. Like, a lot a lot. It’s been awhile since I read 23 books in one month.

If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. I have a bookish one (@kimberlyfayereads) and a non-bookish one (@kimberlyfaye_). On the bookish one, you’ll find… lots of books. (And story templates dealing with books!) On the non-bookish one, you’ll find the other side of my life… my cats, travels, etc.

Now, here’s the breakdown of my month of reading/blogging.

  • Total number of books read: 23
    • Young adult: 4
    • New adult: 5
    • Adult: 12
    • Historical romance: 2
  • New-to-me authors: 3
  • Re-reads: 1
  • Reviews posted: 13
  • Discussion posts: 0

Reading Challenges Update

First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! Sixteen books ahead of schedule?! I love it.

My goal for the Tackle My TBR is three books each month. I read ELEVEN in March. (And reviewed four…)

Total: 52/36

Finding Cinderella The Bombshell Effect Fresh Catch Goal Keeper What Happens Next The Wedding Date Here's to Tomorrow Here's to Forever Here's to Yesterday Here's to Now The Viscount Who Loved Me

The 2018 Audiobook Challenge continues to be a bit of a challenge (no pun intended) for me each month. It’s like I start off strong with audiobooks each month and lose steam by the middle of the month. Of course, most of my audio listening tends to happen when I’m outside or at the gym and, with the shitty weather throughout July, it’s no wonder I just barely got two books in.

Total: 16/24

Wait for It Mariana Zapata The Viscount Who Loved Me

The Ultimate Reading Challenge was a late addition to my 2018 reading challenges and it’s the easiest one for me to forget about, if I’m being totally honest. I did July’s prompt — a book with a cover you love — but I still need to catch up on May’s — set in a place you’d like to visit — and June’s — movie adaptation. Maybe this is the month I get it done?

Looking Ahead

No lie — I’m looking forward to football. That’s about the only thing on my brain right now. It feels like it’s been forever since I watched a game. Because, well, it has been. MY BODY IS READY. Plus I’m sure I’ll get into some other fun and, you know, read a few books this month. ?

Now, onto the books!
