Well, it’s three days into July so I think it’s probably high time I talk about June, no? Enjoy the latest installment of That’s a Wrap!
I’m currently on vacation in Pennsylvania and it’s been delightful so far. Well, aside from the heat but it is summer soooooo I was going to have that basically no matter where I went. Two of my friends came in from Ohio and Eastern Pennsylvania and we went to a concert on Saturday in Pittsburgh. It was so inhumanely hot and humid we only lasted through one set and it wasn’t even the headliner’s. Haha. But, we’d seen Luke Bryan before. We were mostly there for Sam Hunt anyhow. Check that off the bucket list!
Since then, I’ve just spent a lot of time chilling with family, running around with my mom and even made a girls’ trip to the casino with my mom, aunt and grandma. I’m not sure what else we’re getting into the next couple days while I’m here, but it’s been great so far. I haven’t made a lot of time for reading, but oh well. I can read when I get back home.
June was a fun month — and a great reading month. From the Washington Capitols’ Stanley Cup victory parade/rally — which I watched from the roof of my office building — to this trip and my blogiversary, I kept pretty busy. I had what I thought was a pretty kickass giveaway to celebrate the latter. I was a little disappointed in the number of entrants though. Looks like I’ll have to rethink how I do giveaways in the future. I’m not sure it’s worth it to even try over here. Maybe people don’t get into the whole massive Rafflecopter giveaways anymore and individual ones on social media would be better. *shrug* Good news is I don’t have to think about it for at least another year.
If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. I have a bookish one (@kimberlyfayereads) and a non-bookish one (@kimberlyfaye_). On the bookish one, you’ll find… lots of books. (And story templates dealing with books!) On the non-bookish one, you’ll find the other side of my life… my cats, travels, etc.
Now, here’s the breakdown of my month of reading/blogging.

Reading Challenges Update
First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! I’m still ahead! Hooray!
My goal for the Tackle My TBR is three books each month. I read THREE in March — AND I reviewed them. *cheers*
The 2018 Audiobook Challenge is a new one for me this year. My goal is two audiobooks each month. I read/listened to THREE this month. *cheers* Favorites rereads FTW!
The Ultimate Reading Challenge was a late addition to my 2018 reading challenges and I’ve been struggling with it since starting. The prompts are great, but I’m having a tough time remembering to do them each month. I did finally get April’s prompt of “one word title” completed. I’d hope to get caught up on May’s, as well as also doing June’s but… I failed. Onto the next month!
Right now I’m just focused on enjoying my vacation as fully as I can. I don’t have much else on the calendar for July and I’m totally ok with that. In theory, I love summer but in actuality, I hate sweating (unless I’m at a gym) and I limit my outdoor time and movement. I don’t fully hibernate in summer, but I come kinda close. I’ll probably be sticking pretty close to home for the rest of the month once I get back to Virginia.
Now, onto the books!
July Book(s) I Need in My Life Immediately!
Some of my most-anticipated book(s) of the month… or the one(s) I haven’t received an early copy of, anyhow. 🙂
July releases I need to read immediately!
These upcoming releases are at the top of my TBR! Soon, my pretties, soon.
Book(s) YOU need in YOUR life immediately!
After the great hockey romance binge of June 2018, I didn’t get to any July releases early. Whoops!
That’s a wrap! I hope you have a great month ahead!
