TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
Alex, Approximately has been on my TBR for freaking ages. After I read and loved The Anatomical Shape of a Heart, I knew I needed to pick it up sooner rather than later. It was absolutely adorable and swoony and funny. Books like this are the reason I still pick up YA books every now and then.
WHEN I WASN’T READING
This has been a kinda “meh” week, if I’m honest. The weather over the weekend was so rainy it just left me feeling totally blah. The sun finally came out for a little while on Monday, which was much appreciated because at least I got some sun during my three day weekend. I also feel like I’m fighting off a cold, or god forbid a sinus infection, so that hasn’t helped with my motivation either. I did, however, hit the gym three days so far this week. So yay me.
PIC OF THE WEEK
I really loved several of my bookstagram photos this week, but this book is so gorgeous — inside and out — I couldn’t help but feature it again.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before — it’s going to rain this weekend. 😐 I need to try not to let the weather have such a big impact on my mood, but I’m not doing so well so far. There are certain things I love about spring and early summer — one of them being able to sit outside with an iced coffee and my laptop — and if it’s crappy and rainy every weekend, I can’t do that. But I digress. Maybe the forecast will change? Otherwise I’m just taking it pretty easy with no big plans, which is totally fine by me. 🙂
How was your week?
