TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
Rachel has done it again. I think I say this every time she releases a new book, but Arrogant Devil just might be my favorite to date. Meredith is the kind of heroine you just can’t help but fall for and root for. Jack was perfectly grumpy and I loved seeing her get through to him without even trying. It was charming and sweet and sexy and I finished with a huge grin on my face and a tear in my eye. So much love for this one!
WHEN I WASN’T READING
I did a lot of reading this week, mainly because I was hell-bent on binging Emma Chase’s Royally series. (Finally.) I had zero motivation for blogging this week, so it’s been pretty quiet over here… at least with respect to reviews. First goal for the weekend: write some damn reviews. I started back to the gym a couple weeks ago and despite my general lack of motivation this week in all the things — I blame allergies — I went three days! (And I have every intention of going today at lunch, too.) Aside from a bit of a Marvel movie binge, that’s about all she wrote for last week.
PIC OF THE WEEK
I’m not sure why, but this photo just makes me happy. I took it for the May TBR prompt for the #maybookstagram18 challenge over on Instagram. Obviously I’m going to read more than three books, but I hoped to get to these three specifically. (P.S. It’s May 11th and I’ve yet to pick up any of them.) #moodreader
I won’t be getting into a whole lot this weekend as I have a pretty busy week next week so I need to get things done and lined up. Between a three-day work conference and a trip home to Pennsylvania — first time since Christmas! — I’ll be pretty busy. I plan to spend the weekend putting my life in order. And, you know, maybe getting outside to enjoy some sunshine.
How was your week?
