Ok, so how is it January lasted, like, 300 days and February flew by without me barely even noticing? Regardless, hey March. How you doing?
While February wasn’t quite the struggle January was, I’m still not sorry to see it end. I continued to fight to get fully healthy and, quite frankly, I’ve gotten quick tired of being sick. I suppose I’ve gotten healthy again just in time to start suffering from allergies, right? Oh, the humanity! At least I was able to get quite a bit of reading time, right? And, when I wasn’t sick, I started to get back on track with the gym and other adulting things. I read some fantastic books (even if I didn’t review them yet…), knocked several off (the long overdue portion of) my TBR and dipped back into the super intimidating world of Bookstagram. I turned another year older and celebrated with friends and thoroughly enjoyed watching as much of the Olympics as I could fit in.
All in all, February was pretty good to me.
If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. I post a lot of book photos there, but I also post personal stuff as well — my cats, travels around DC (and elsewhere) and more. As I mentioned above, I’ve dipped my toes back into the world of bookstagram challenges, so there’s always something to see. I’m also doing mini reviews of the books I’ve read in my stories.
Now, here’s the breakdown of my month of reading/blogging.
- Total number of books read: 17
- Young Adult: 1
- New adult: 3
- Adult: 9
- Historical Romance: 4
- Reviews posted: 9

Reading Challenges Update
First up, the Goodreads Reading Challenge! I’m doing pretty well with this one so far this year!
My goal for the Tackle My TBR Challenge is three books each month. I read 6 in February, but I didn’t get all of them reviewed yet.
The 2018 Audiobook Challenge is a new one for me this year and I’m happy to say I’ve caught up from my failure in January. I finished the one book I was reading in January and read another two! Now I just need to write some reviews!
The Ultimate Reading Challenge was a late addition for me at the end of January, so I had some catching up to do. I knocked out my January (re-read an old favorite) and February (tear jerker) last month. I still need to review Flat-Out Love, but that’s coming soon.
March has three things going for it — ApollyCon, the March for Our Lives and cherry blossoms. Of course, I think they’re all going to happen at the exact same time, which’ll make things interesting. I think I’m equally excited for the first two and begrudgingly excited for the third. Don’t get me wrong, they’re so pretty… but my gods the numbers of tourists who descend upon the city. It’s nearly impossible to get anywhere, so it’s hard to really love them if you live and work here.
Now, onto the books!
