TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Running on Words & Wine.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK(S) OF THE WEEK
Again I have to say “sorry not sorry” and give you more than one favorite book from the last week. From Lukov with Love and Devil in Spring were both absolutely amazing. So many feels and swoons and I loved them both!
WHEN I WASN’T READING
This past week was one hell of a week. I spent the first half of last weekend reading and then I worked on several small projects around the apartment. Of course, the biggest part of Sunday was spent prepping for and watching the Super Bowl. And seriously, I couldn’t have been happier with the results. I’m happy anytime the Patriots lose. On Monday, I found out my apartment complex was being treated for mice on Wednesday and that meant a) I needed to work from home that day to deal with the cats because I can’t leave them locked up ALL day and b) I had to drag everything out of the bottom of each of the closets in my apartment. Thrilling. I had some other apartment drama, but honestly, I don’t even want to get into that. The one good thing about this week so far is that I finally decided to cut the cord on cable! I’m a strictly streaming apartment now! Eep! And, of course, the Olympics started this week so I am over the moon because I am a total Olympics nerd.
PIC OF THE WEEK
I’ve been participating in a bookstagram challenge this month and I’m loving it. Why don’t I do these more often? This is one of my favorite photos so far because, of course, it’s also one of my favorite series. Aren’t these books gorgeous? I just want to pet them. (And I might have.) I can’t wait to meet Sierra at ApollyCon in March!
So, hey, today’s my birthday! Woo! I’m really looking forward to a delicious lunch with friends and the massage I’m treating myself to after work. Then, I’m going to go home and park myself on the couch and watch the Olympics Opening Ceremony. The rest of the weekend should be pretty chill — it’s going to rain and I am just not messing with that. After the stress of this past week, a low-key and relaxing weekend sounds perfect.
How was your week?
