TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Brandie is a Book Junkie.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
I just started Barreled Over on the plane yesterday and I admittedly didn’t get too much further into it once I got to the hotel and unpacked. I’m loving it so far. It was totally unplanned for me to be reading a country music romance while in Nashville, but it totally freaking works.
WHEN I WASN’T READING
The last few days were so busy. I had to un-decorate my apartment from Christmas before leaving for Nashville on Thursday. This trip also meant I had to unpack from my Christmas trip, finish up laundry AND repack for Nashville. All of this while fighting a sinus infection, too. Woo hoo. I just got into Nashville late yesterday afternoon and it’s cold as can be. I love this city, but I’m not going to see much of it as I’ll be super busy with a chaotic convention … all while in the Gaylord Opryland. Which I am not complaining about now because it means I don’t have to go outside. 🙂
PIC OF THE WEEK
The Gaylord really is quite lovely with the Christmas decorations. I expect I’ll take a fair few more photos before I leave… if the decorations remain up. I have a couple videos of the light show over on my Insta stories if you’re interested in such a thing.
I’m probably going to be fairly absent over the next few days. As I mentioned above, I’m in Nashville for work and any hours NOT spent in the convention center are likely to be spent sleeping. Or coping. I don’t anticipate much reading or blogging time for the next few days.
How was your week?
