That’s a Wrap: November 2017

That's a Wrap

Holy crap. The year’s almost over. Doesn’t seem possible, does it?

As you can see, I’m a little late getting to my November wrap up post. Between the holidays and winding up sick on the last couple days of my break, I got behind. Plus, I’ve just kinda sucked at the whole blogging thing the last couple months anyhow. But that’s a post for another time. Aside from the whole getting sick over Thanksgiving break thing, November was a pretty good month! I kept myself busy with work and trying to get back into the groove at the gym, so I didn’t read as much as I typically do. I also watched a ton of football, which definitely cut into my reading time, too.

When it comes to books, it was a fairly decent reading month. I continued to read a series by a new-to-me author, a series I never in a million years thought I’d love, but did. I signed up for Audible Romance Package AND Kindle Unlimited, so I’ve been a little more willing to try new authors. (To varying degrees of success, naturally.) I’m on track with my reading goal for the year, but I am failing miserably at writing reviews. This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.

One thing I did accomplish for the blog was getting my Top 10 of 2017 put together. If you’re looking for an end-of-year event to join, check it out. I always have fun doing it AND I’ve got some fun author participation coming this year, too.

Top 10 of 2017

All in all, I’m calling November a success.

If you want to know more about what’s going on in my world, follow me on Instagram. There you will find pics of my books, my cats, my outfits of the day and all the other photos I take during my travels around DC and elsewhere. I’m also on Snapchat, if you’re into that kind of thing.

Now, here’s the breakdown of my month of reading/blogging.

  • Total number of books read: 16
    • Young Adult: 1
    • New adult: 3
    • Adult: 12
  • Reviews posted: 17
  • Discussion posts: 2

Reading Challenges Update

Despite the decrease in my reading over the last month, I’m holding steady on my Goodreads Challenge. I’ve got this.

Looking Ahead

I just know the next few weeks are going to absolutely fly by! Unsurprisingly, I’ve done very little of my Christmas shopping so I need to get on that. Online, of course. I’m not stepping foot in a store if I can help it. I haven’t requested my vacation for the holidays yet, but I’m hoping it won’t be a problem to get the week off that I want. (It shouldn’t be.) I know it’s not been that long since I’ve been home, but I’m still looking forward to my next long break in PA. It’ll be 2018 before we know it!

Now, onto the books!

December Book(s) I Need in My Life Immediately!

Some of my most-anticipated book(s) of the month… or the one(s) I haven’t received an early copy of, anyhow. 🙂

Roomies by Christina Lauren The Hookup Kristen Ashley

December releases I need to read immediately!

These upcoming releases are at the top of my TBR! Soon, my pretties, soon.

Man Hands Breaking the Ice Julie Cross

Book(s) YOU need in YOUR life immediately!

I spent most of my reading time tackling my TBR and focusing on November ARCs, so I don’t have any “must reads” for December for you yet. I fail!

That’s all for now! I hope you have a great month!
