Five Things Friday

TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!

If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Brandie is a Book Junkie.

Katee’s O’Malleys series just keeps getting better and better. It’s the perfect mix of sexy romance, suspense and family drama. I love it.

It’s been a couple weeks since I did one of these and, if I’m being totally honest, I haven’t done all that much reading in that time. I think I’m in a little bit of a slump… and I know I’m busy with other things. Instead of reading, I’ve been at the gym or watching football or doing all the things one needs to do to get ready for Christmas. Over this past week, I traveled home for Thanksgiving, spent time with family, shopped for several hours (which is SO RARE for me), helped my folks decorate for Christmas and went to the Winter Flower Show and Light Garden a Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. I also ended up with a sinus infection that’s kept me feeling kinda crummy, so I’ve not really felt like doing much the last couple days. I’m on the mend though!

Mom and I went to Phipps Conservatory last Friday for the first night of their Winter Flower Show and Light Garden. As you might expect, I took a ton of photos. This was my favorite though.

Today’s going to be busy, but fun. I start the morning off with PT — and that’s NOT the fun part — and then I go to work until lunch, when friends and I are going to a holiday concert at one of the Smithsonian Museums. After work, another group of friends and I are going to the Wharf in DC to see their light display. This weekend, I have one goal — GET MY CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATED. Other than that, I’ll just be chilling/healing and getting ready to start a new week. It’s not all that long before I’ll be on vacation again so I can do this!
