WWW Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! It’s time for a midweek reading round up, as I talk about what I’m currently reading, what I just finished and what I’ve added to my TBR.

What I'm currently reading

WWW Wednesday [75]Marrying Winterborne by Lisa Kleypas
Series: The Ravenels #2
Genres: Historical Romance
Publication date: May 31, 2016
Publisher: Avon Books
Format: Audiobook, Add it: Goodreads
Buy it: Amazon

A ruthless tycoon

Savage ambition has brought common-born Rhys Winterborne vast wealth and success. In business and beyond, Rhys gets exactly what he wants. And from the moment he meets the shy, aristocratic Lady Helen Ravenel, he is determined to possess her. If he must take her virtue to ensure she marries him, so much the better...

A sheltered beauty

Helen has had little contact with the glittering, cynical world of London society. Yet Rhys’s determined seduction awakens an intense mutual passion. Helen’s gentle upbringing belies a stubborn conviction that only she can tame her unruly husband. As Rhys’s enemies conspire against them, Helen must trust him with her darkest secret. The risks are unthinkable... the reward, a lifetime of incomparable bliss. And it all begins with…

Marrying Mr. Winterborne

I’m only about an hour and a half into Marrying Winterborne, but I’m really enjoying it! It’s been far too long since I finished Cold-Hearted Rake. I needed to read this book before I forgot all the feels of the first in the series.

What I just finished reading

WWW Wednesday [75]#Nerd by Cambria Hebert
Series: Hashtag #1
Genres: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: November 1, 2014
Publisher: Self-Published
Format: Audiobook, Add it: Goodreads
Buy it: Amazon

Two people from completely different worlds are about to be thrown together...

In more ways than one.

She wants to keep her scholarship. He wants to stay on the team. An awkward alliance doesn't even begin to cover Rimmel and Romeo's relationship.

But that's about to change.

It starts with a dare. An initiation. A challenge.

Quickly, it turns into more. But when you're a victim of your status, there is no room for anything real. The rules are clear and simple.

Stick to your circle.

And never fall in love with anyone on the outside.

So, I decided to give finally give this one a chance after hearing so many people rave about it. It was cute, but I didn’t love it. Maybe if I’d have read it a few years ago when it first came out I would’ve felt differently. I’m not sure. Regardless, it was an ok read.

What I recently added to my TBR

WWW Wednesday [75]Writing Mr. Right by T.K. Leigh

Publisher: Self-Published
Format: eBook, 410 pages

My name is Molly Brinks, but most people know me as Vivienne Foxx, bestselling author of chance meetings, stolen glances, and the much-needed happily ever after. My addictions include coffee, home improvement television, and the occasional pint of ice cream. The love of my life is an eighty-pound labrador retriever named Pee Wee.

At the age of twenty-nine plus one, I am at the top of my game…professionally. My personal life is a completely different story, one best left untold. Success has its sacrifices and I’ve been more than happy to put my search for Prince Charming on the back burner while I create fictitious tales of the naïve virgin, the broken girl with a torrid past, and the strong-willed student finding their own Mr. Right…

Until one hell of a case of writer’s block and a tight deadline set by my publisher forces me outside of my cozy downtown Boston apartment in search of inspiration.

Armed with an account on every dating website out there, I devise a plan… Meet some nice, professional men. Go on a few dates. Hope one of them has the spark I need to finish my book. Then walk away.

But plans are meant to be broken.

My name is Molly Brinks, and this is my story about Writing Mr. Right.

I saw this one pop up on Goodreads because a friend was reading it and, once I read the blurb, I grabbed it from Kindle Unlimited. It sounds charming and fun. I have high hopes!
