TGIF, y’all! I’m so happy it’s Friday and that I get to share my mini weekly recap with you. Keep reading to see some of my new books and what was keeping me busy this week!
If you’ve been visiting my blog for awhile now, you might know that Five Things Friday was born out of a desire to include more of ME on my blog. I was writing about a new topic each week, but honestly, that got kinda old. It was hard to come up with something new each week. You know what that means — it was time to mix things up a bit. So, my current iteration of FTF was born… with some inspiration from Brandie @ Brandie is a Book Junkie.
NEW TO MY QUEUE
FAVORITE BOOK OF THE WEEK
As a general rule, I love Jen’s books. Her Gridiron series is high on my list of favorite new adult series. This one was surprising to me because, honestly, the hero was such a jackass in the previous book that I didn’t know if I could get behind him. But, I totally did. So good!
WHEN I WASN’T READING
I’m not gonna lie, it felt good to get back into (somewhat) of a routine this week. I was able to get to the gym a couple days during the week and I started physical therapy for my foot/ankle. I’m a little sore after the first day, but it’s gonna hurt before it gets better… right? Basically this week was all about work, a couple personal appointments and getting myself back into a routine I’ve let slide for too long. Plus, you know, lots of football over the weekend. Naturally. Oh! I also signed up for the free trial of Audible Romance Package, so I’ve been trying to find AS MUCH audiobook listening time as possible…
PIC OF THE WEEK
I’ve probably taken a couple hundred photos out my office window in the last couple years, but this one is my favorite. I love the combination of the raindrops and autumn colors.
Hey hey, it’s a long weekend! *dances around* It’s going to be a REALLY cold one though, so I’m not sure how much time I’ll spend outside of the apartment. I’d hoped to go out, get some fresh air and take some more autumn leaves photos, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen since the forecast is for “frigid, arctic air”. I need to do some things around the apartment and do some meal planning, so there’s likely to be a bit of adulting while I’m watching football this weekend. Plus, you know, gym time and reading and blogging. I also might put my Christmas tree up this weekend…
How was your week?
