I got the call. The dreaded call every child fears. My dad wasn’t well, and the man who had always been my everything needed me.
There was only one thing to do; pack up and head back to my hometown. I had finally made my dream life in the city with the great job and loving boyfriend. But was there really a choice not to go?
I found a wonderful job, a quaint house to rent, my boyfriend was working on joining me in Binghamton, and my favorite pizza place was only miles away. Life was good.
Until I met my neighbor.
It's been three years since I'd seen Aaron Walters, and my God is he all kinds of sexy gorgeous. Figures. He was supposed to be my forever, the man I grew old with, but he had different plans. How can a man who ripped my heart apart still trip me up? How can he make me still want him now more than ever?
I’m tempted, I’m drawn toward him, I’m completely and utterly unaware that I’m dating his biological brother.
Now two men own my heart. The question is, which brother will I choose?
I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Love triangles aren’t always my favorite and I understand why people might choose to avoid books with them altogether. I’m not one of those people, however. If it’s written by an author I love or the book sounds amazing, I won’t hesitate to read it. Both were true when it came to The Other Brother. I love Meghan’s books and I really wanted Aaron’s story. Plus, if I’m being totally honest… this one didn’t feel like THAT much of a love triangle. It was pretty obvious who Amelia belonged with.
Each of Meghan’s heroes have been special in their own way and all of them have landed on my book boyfriends list. I’m pretty sure Aaron just stole the top spot in the list. My goodness did this man give me feels. I don’t think he could be more perfect. He was so sweet, so grounded and he totally wore his heart on his sleeve. I loved him so freaking hard. His past left him more than a little broken and I basically just wanted to give him a huge hug and assure him everything would be alright and that he was loved and wanted.
I also adored Amelia. Meghan writes amazing heroines and Amelia’s no exception to that. She was real and funny and sassy. My heart ached for her as she dealt with her father’s illness and having THE EX bak in her life in a major way. Oh, and did I mention the boyfriend she was having a long distance relationship with while she was back home? Or the fact she would learn he and Aaron were brothers? The girl has a lot on her plate, but she handles it in a real and believable way.
Being totally honest, it was ridiculously easy for me to pretend Trey didn’t exist. It’s not that he was a bad guy or anything. (Minus a couple issues I had with him, he really seemed like a decent dude… if a little misguided occasionally.) He just wasn’t Aaron. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind Aaron and Amelia were end game. They were too perfect together not to be. I was totally addicted to their story, and I reveled in the angst, sexual tension, laughs and every single feel.
I have HUGE heart eyes for Aaron and Amelia, and even Meghan for giving me this story. Now, I have one request — please give Amanda a book of her own. I LOVED Amelia’s bestie and I want her to have all the good things in life. Hell, I want to be friends with her myself.
He hurt me. He broke me. He cracked my soul. And yet, I still want him wrapped around me.
“I want you forever, Amelia. Please say you’ll be my forever.”
“Let your heart beat, let it feel, let it soar, and let it love again.”
