Scarlett St Julien likes her job well enough. Her boss? Total wanker. Even if he is sexy AF. After all, they don’t call him Bradley Walking-Sex for nothing.
When Bradley asks her to show him around London, it’s another thing on Scarlett’s task list. At least until the spark between them ignites. And it is H-O-T.
It turns out Bradley Walking-Sex is smart and funny, as well as — you guessed it — oh-so-sexy. But he’s still the boss. A fling with him is one thing. Falling for him? Well, that’s not an option. Is it?

This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I’ve been a big fan of Brenda’s books since I first read Swimming to Tokyo what now seems like ages ago. Her Castle Calder series has been such a great escape for someone like me who is fascinated by all things British. I’m not a full-on Anglophile but with a little more time I feel I could be. Regardless, I love this series and A Brit Complicated is my favorite so far.
I’ve been anxious for Scarlett’s story since I first met her earlier in the series. I love a good, strong heroine and she’s exactly that. I can’t think of a more perfect match for her than Bradley, too. They complimented each other perfectly. I’m a sucker for a good office romance — and a hate to love story — and I loved how the two came together in Scarlett and Bradley’s story. These two had such great chemistry once they gave into it and I enjoyed seeing how they opened up each other’s worlds. Plus, there were some great sexy times and more than a few feels.
“If you didn’t like me, deep down somewhere, you’d never let yourself come like that, let alone call my name when you do.”
“Bradley’s driven and successful. He’s smart and funny and sexy as fuck. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted. Someday. Later. When I’m successful in my own right. I want him, but dammit, I’m not ready for him yet.”
Have you read any of Brenda’s books?
