What do Dash Lexington, Easton Wells, and Connell Murphey have in common?
They put their lives on the line each day they clock into work. That and their fierce love for the women who match them step for step.
When the studio head who produces both Dash and Easton’s shows announces auditions for a special series to highlight the E.D.G.E men’s skills, Connell and an extreme stunt man named Wade Roberts are the first stars chosen.
Their objective? Accompany Easton deep in the Amazon where he’s recently discovered the lost city of Paititi. With half the structure submerged in dangerous waters, a slew of unpredictable rainforest storms, and a nearly inaccessible location, each man will have to put aside his alpha tendencies and utilize his skills in order to survive the perils of the City of Gold.
But when an enemy from Easton’s past threatens the love of his life, she is met with the wrath of the newly formed E.D.G.E. clan, who will stop at nothing to protect the women they love.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration.
This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I was a little apprehensive going into this book because I hadn’t yet read Connell’s book and I wondered if that would keep me from fully-appreciating his character and how it fits with the others. It didn’t. Not one little bit. I do, however, want to go back and read his book as soon as I have time, just so I get the full story. But I digress. Just know that even if you haven’t read all the books in the series to date, you’ll still be able to really enjoy Edge of Brotherhood.
One of my favorite things about Edge of Brotherhood was watching the bromance develop between Dash, Easton, Connell and Wade. I love strong friendships in books and I particularly enjoyed how this one developed as they were in the jungle and fighting for their lives (and each other’s lives) at times. Of course, I also loved the setting and the adventure/suspense aspect of the book, as has been the case with each of Molly’s books. She paints such a strong, clear picture with her books that I felt like I was right there with them. But without being in the actual danger they were, so bonus. I was on the edge of my seat, resisting the urge to bite my nails as I read.
This book wasn’t HUGE on the romance since it focused primarily on the men, mostly during a time they were not with their ladies. The hints of the love they have for their women and the limited time they spend together, however, was enough for me. (Easton and Rain being the exception, of course, because they were both together on this journey.) Now I need to see Wade get HIS second chance and happily ever after with Mackenzie. Their story is complicated but I need to see him get the same shot at love that these other couples I’ve fallen for have.
Edge of Brotherhood was fantastic. It was a quick read. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I loved the dynamic between these four men (and Rain). This is such a great series. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it. I will be going back to read the two novellas I’ve not read yet VERY soon. Then I can continue waiting for Wade’s book with grabby hands. The preview for it at the end of this book made it pretty clear it’s probably going to be an emotional read for me. I can’t wait!
“And what exactly are a treasure hunter, a storm chaser, a deep-sea driver, and a stunt-man supposed to do on a show?”
Have you read any of Molly’s books?
If not, do they sound like something you’d enjoy?
