Top 16 of 2016: Books I’m Looking Forward To In 2017

Posted December 31, 2016 by Kim in Top 16 of 2016 / 3 Comments

For the last few years, I’ve been doing one of these “best of” the year series of posts as a way to tip my hat to the best of the best of the past year … and begin looking forward to the new year, as well. I love looking back and picking out my favorites and thought it would be fun to open it up for others to join. So … I’ll be doing that from now until the end of December. Interested in joining? Check out the sign-up post.

It’s the last day of my Top 16 of 2016! My how time flies. As tough of a time as I’ve had with some of the prompts, I’m still so glad I decided to do this again — and I’m happy some people joined in! 🙂

Today’s prompt shouldn’t be that tough, in all honesty. As a matter of fact, I did *almost* this same prompt a couple weeks ago in a Top Ten Tuesday post. There are a bunch of books I’m looking forward to reading in 2017 and this list just barely scratches the surface. I could do so many different things with this list, but I’m sticking with 2017 releases — even though we all know I’ll be reading some older books, too. It only seems right to talk about some of the awesome upcoming releases here in my last post of 2016!

I’m obsessed with Sierra’s writing. American Queen was AMAZING and March can’t get here soon enough. I neeeeeeed Embry’s book.

Do you have any idea how long I’ve been waiting for this book!? Or anything new from Krista & Becca? So excited this will be out soon!

Evie and Sebastian’s son?!? (From Devil in Winter, of course.) Gah. I need it. And that cover? I’m just about drooling over here. It’s so gorgeous. (Also, I need to binge the first two books in this series before this one comes out.)

This one seems to be getting a lot of attention and, when I finally read the blurb I understood why. I’m gonna need this book in my life. It sounds cute.

I can’t wait for more from the Killer Instincts series! This series is SO FREAKING good. And totally addicting.

Give me more Sarina Bowen! I’m enjoying her Brooklyn Bruisers series so darn much. I can’t wait for this third installment!

Suzanne Young can do no wrong and I’m totally in love with this series. I’m equal parts excited and terrified to see what’s next.

I was excited about this series before I even picked up the prequel novella, Lit Fuse. Because Caisey Quinn. And Nashville. Now that I’ve read the prequel? MAJOR GRABBY HANDS. I neeeeeeed to know what happens next.

The sneak peek of Bryan and Eilish’s book at the end of The Player and the Pixie pretty much had me counting down the days until this book is released. Come on, February.

I’ll read pretty much anything Kathleen writes. I love the cover of this one… and the blurb sounds fantastic, too.

New Christina Lauren. Surely I don’t have to say anything else.

MORE Erin Watt. I can’t wait to see how their amazing writing chemistry extends beyond The Royals!

Y’all know I love Lauren Layne’s books. I can’t wait to see where her Love Unexpectedly series takes us next. And thankfully I don’t have THAT long to wait because I have an ARC of this one.

It’s been so long since there was a new Dating in the City book! I can’t wait for this!

I love me some Jessica Clare books and this one sounds right up my alley. Forget your businessman billionaires. I like men who get their hands dirty. I have an ARC of this one. I won’t be waiting long before diving in.

I’ve been waiting for this book for.ev.er. FOREVER. I have total grabby hands.
