Alexis Morgan has spent the past six years devoted to turning her tiny start-up into Manhattan’s premiere wedding planning company, The Wedding Belles. Now that her business is thriving, it’s time to turn towards her much neglected personal life, and Alexis approaches her relationships like she does everything else: with a plan. Not a part of that plan is Logan Harris, the silent partner in the Belles, and the one person who’s been there for her since the very beginning. But Alexis needs someone fun, and Logan’s all business, all the time—except when a late night at the office ends with an unexpected kiss that leaves the usually cool and together Alexis reeling.
Logan has lusted after Alexis since the day he walked into the tiny Harlem apartment that used to double as her office. But the ambitious wedding planner has always been untouchable...until now. Alexis has made it clear that she’s on the dating market—and equally clear that he’s not in the running. But when Alexis finds herself in need of a date for her sister’s last minute wedding in Florida, Logan knows it’s the perfect time to show Alexis that there’s more to him than numbers and spreadsheets—and beneath the pinstripes and glasses lies a hot-blooded heartthrob. As Florida’s sultry days turn into even hotter nights, Logan’s out to convince Alexis that the fling of a lifetime could just maybe turn into forever...

To Love and to Cherish is The Wedding Belles book I’ve been waiting on! I’ve wondered what the story was between Alexis and Logan since I started the series. What better way to wrap up the series than by revealing all and giving them the shot at love I’ve wanted from the beginning?
As is (almost) always the case with Lauren’s books, I fell for both characters HARD. Alexis was such a great heroine. She’s strong woman, one who is very successful, too. At least in business. In love? Not so much. But she’s ready to get back out there again and I loved that. Even if I kinda wanted to smack her for not turning to Logan immediately. He was so flipping swoony — and smart and British. How could you not fall into his arms? Well, she didn’t so this was a slow burn romance… but after eight years, it seemed fitting that it took this path once Logan decided to woo her. And woo he did. These two had such great chemistry. They were easy to root for.
I enjoyed To Love and to Cherish so very much! It was a great ending to a series I’ve enjoyed from the start. I love the friendships nearly as much as I do the romance in this series, as is pretty typical for me when it comes to Lauren’s books. Her combination of feels, laughs, amazing characters, sexy times and HEAs have made her one of my favorite authors. I know her books will give me feels, but at the end I’ll have a satisfied smile. If you’re not reading her, you’re missing out.
“Why not me, Alexis? Why when you finally decide to stop living in a shell, why some random chap off the street, and why not me?”
To think for eight years she’d been drinking coffee every Monday and Thursday with Clark Kent when she should have been sharing a hotel room with Superman.
What’s your favorite Lauren Layne book?
