TBR Thursday [24]

Happy Thursday! You know what that means… time for a new TBR Thursday!

My feature was totally influenced by Teresa @ Readers Live a Thousand Lives and her On My Shelf posts. I love love love the idea of spotlighting a title from my shelf (or, you know, my eReader) and seeing what you think about it. Have you read it? Should I read it or put it back on the shelf? Sometimes it seems like everyone is reading the same books at the same time and older titles have a way of just fading from the radar. I love this way of featuring an older title and, of course, getting a chance to talk about it with other bloggers and readers. And I want to force myself to do it regularly, hence the TBR Thursday title.

If you’d like to join in on the fun, I’ve created a banner you can use – or you can always make your own! (Right click and save as to grab the image for yourself.) Share your links in the comments and I’ll swing by and visit!

Now, let’s talk about this week’s pick, shall we?

TBR Thursday [24]Wild Crush by Simone Elkeles
Series: Wild Cards #2
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: September 22, 2015
Publisher: Self-Published
Add it: Goodreads
Buy it: Amazon

When the only girl you want is the one you can't have...

Bad boy Vic Salazar breaks all the rules except one: Don't make a move on your best friend's girl. It’s a Guy Code that Vic lives by. It doesn't matter that he's had a crush on her for years. Monika Fox is off limits.

Monika has a secret of her own and when a tragedy throws her and Vic together, the only boy she trusts is the one she shouldn’t confide in. Vic.

As Vic struggles to keep his distance, and Monika struggles with her secrets, will their wild connection violate every rule both vowed never to break—about relationships, about friendship, about love?

I’ve really enjoyed each and every book I’ve read by this author. I read the first book in the Wild Cards series way back when it was an ARC and was called Better Than Perfect. I loved it. I was amped up for the second book in the series, but it seems like it took forever to be released and … I kinda lost interest. I bought it, but haven’t even gotten around to reading it.

Any thoughts… ?

  1. Tammy V.

We listened to Wild Cards on the way to Myrtle Beach when it came out. We had loved her Perfect Chemistry series but this one wasn’t one of our favs. I gave it a 3 on Goodreads. Hope this one is a bit better.

  2. I am with you on this one. I read Wild Cards as an ARC I snagged at my very first BEA and I really liked it, but then I totally forgot about the sequel and I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever get to it. Does sound good though so who knows haha
