TBR Thursday [19]

Happy Thursday! You know what that means… time for a new TBR Thursday!

My feature was totally influenced by Teresa @ Readers Live a Thousand Lives and her On My Shelf posts. I love love love the idea of spotlighting a title from my shelf (or, you know, my eReader) and seeing what you think about it. Have you read it? Should I read it or put it back on the shelf? Sometimes it seems like everyone is reading the same books at the same time and older titles have a way of just fading from the radar. I love this way of featuring an older title and, of course, getting a chance to talk about it with other bloggers and readers. And I want to force myself to do it regularly, hence the TBR Thursday title.

If you’d like to join in on the fun, I’ve created a banner you can use – or you can always make your own! (Right click and save as to grab the image for yourself.) Share your links in the comments and I’ll swing by and visit!

Now, let’s talk about this week’s pick, shall we?

TBR Thursday [19]Bad Things by R.K. Lilley
Series: Tristan & Danika #1
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: June 11, 2013
Publisher: Self-Published
Add it: Goodreads
Buy it: Amazon

Danika hasn’t had an easy life. Being insanely attracted to bad boys has never helped make it easier.

One look at Tristan, and every brain cell she possessed went up in smoke. This man was trouble with a capital T. It was a given.
She knew better. Bad boys were bad. Especially for her. Considering her history, it was crazy to think otherwise. So why did crazy have to feel so damn fine?

For as long as she could remember, Danika had been focused on the future with single-minded purpose. Tristan came along and taught her everything there was to know about letting go, and living in the present. She fell, hard and deep. Of course, that only made her impact with the ground that much more devastating.

This is another book that’s been on my eReader forever. I think I’ve seen R.K. Lilley at no fewer than four author events, but I’ve yet to read any of her books. Bad Things sounds good… and like it’s probably pretty angsty. It is a traditional series, so suspect I’d need to read all the books in a good ol’ fashioned binge. Which wouldn’t be a problem because I have all of them. I’ve heard so many good things about her books, I’m just not sure…

Let's Chat

Have you read Bad Things?
Should I read it or put it back on the shelf?
