U.S. Air Force fighter pilot Noah Miller—call sign Burn—loves nothing more than flying hard and fast. When he meets a gorgeous and sassy woman while partying in Las Vegas, he immediately locks on to her.
Jordan Callahan owns a thriving clothing boutique, but her love life is far less successful. Her luck changes when six feet, two inches of sexy swagger asks her to dance and turns her world upside down.
One scorching weekend becomes an undeniable chemistry that they can’t leave in Vegas. But the long distance relationship and their different lives threaten to ground their romance. And when the dangers of Noah’s job become all too real, Jordan learns being with a fighter pilot means risking it all for a shot at love…
I’ve been putting this book off because it doesn’t come out until May – even though Chanel is one of my favorite authors. It’s been tough, but I showed incredible self-restraint. Until Sunday anyhow. I read it cover to cover in one sitting. It was fun and sexy and SUPER emotional. Lots of tears were shed. (Which didn’t help my hangover head any, if I’m being totally honest.) But it was worth all the tears. I just got an ARC for the second book last week and I’m pretty sure I’m diving into it as soon as I finish writing this post… Even if it isn’t going to be released until July.
I heard this one for the first time in the car Sunday morning on the way back from Charlottesville, VA with my girls after the Luke Bryan concert. I fell in love with it immediately because of her voice… and then when I heard the line “my house and my mouth and my mind get kinda trashy” I was like YAS. It’s a good one.
I WENT TO SEE LUKE BRYAN ON SATURDAY. *deep breath* We might’ve been in the nosebleeds, but it was an amazing time. My girls Kaitlan and Betsy came to DC from Philly and Toledo, OH respectively and we road tripped it about two hours away to Charlottesville, VA for the show. Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town were fantastic. Luke was everything I dreamed and more. Above you’ll find a photo of me and my girls, a shot of Luke singing Drink a Beer (which was super moving live) and a purposefully unfocused shot of the cell phone lights in the crowd during the song. What a great night.
