TBR Thursday [3]

Happy Thursday! You know what that means… time for a new TBR Thursday!

My feature was totally influenced by Teresa @ Readers Live a Thousand Lives and her On My Shelf posts. I love love love the idea of spotlighting a title from my shelf (or, you know, my eReader) and seeing what you think about it. Have you read it? Should I read it or put it back on the shelf? Sometimes it seems like everyone is reading the same books at the same time and older titles have a way of just fading from the radar. I love this way of featuring an older title and, of course, getting a chance to talk about it with other bloggers and readers. And I want to force myself to do it regularly, hence the TBR Thursday title.

Let’s talk about this week’s pick, shall we?

TBR Thursday [3]Remy by Katy Evans
Series: Real #3
Genres: New Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publication date: November 26, 2013
Publisher: Gallery Books
Add it: Goodreads
Buy it: Amazon

Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

I fell in love with Remy and Brooke when I first read their story – A LONG time ago – in Real and Mine. I’ve kinda moved on from the whole fighter thing, but I have audio copies of Ripped and Legend for review, so I’m wondering if I should get caught up on the series first. Starting with Remy, of course, since that’s where I left off. I also have I pre-ordered it before it came out, but I never read it either. (Yes, I’ve been know to abandon series.) But maybe I need to pick this one back up?

So…

  1. I have a problem with abandoning series. I remember reading the first book in this one, and I really liked it. I never kept reading though. And I haven’t been feeling the MMA/Fighter books lately. I’m sure it’s a good one, when you’re in the right mood for it! I go through phases and know that eventually this one will show it’s face again.

  2. I am one of the few people who never got into this series, so I am of no help here lol. I do know that a ton of people love it, but I am with you on kinda being over the fighter thing. It does have a pretty cover though haha.

LOL. This is one of those series I was like “OMG I LOVE IT” when I first read it – or the first two books anyhow – but now that I look back, it might not’ve been the best thing ever. You know those series? Haha. I think I’ll give it a shot again because I have all of the books. Might as well see if I can close it all out… when I’m in the right mood, anyhow.
