Must Read

Monday Musts [3]Strong Signal by Megan Erickson, Santino Hassell
Series: Cyberlove #1
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance, LGBTQ
Publication date: February 15, 2016
Publisher: Self-Published
Add it: Goodreads

I was counting down the months until the end of my deployment. My days were spent working on military vehicles, and I spent my nights playing video games that would distract me until I could leave Staff Sergeant Garrett Reid behind.

That was when I met him: Kai Bannon, a fellow gamer with a famous stream channel.

I never expected to become fixated on someone who'd initially been a rival. And I'd never expected someone who oozed charm to notice me—a guy known for his brutal honesty and scowl. I hadn't planned for our online friendship to turn into something that kept me up at night—hours of chatting evolving into filthy webcam sessions.

But it did. And now I can't stop thinking about him. In my mind, our real life meeting is perfect. We kiss, we fall into bed, and it's love at first sight.

Except, like most things in my life, it doesn't go as planned.

*Strong Signal is a standalone, full-length novel with no cliffhanger*

I looooooooooved this book so hard. I’ll be posting my review next week, but until then… Garrett and Kai were fantastic. They drew me in separately from the start but once together? That’s when the magic happened. It might sound like a bit of an odd pairing – the closeted soldier and the former dancer turned recluse Internet gaming star – but they really couldn’t have been more perfect for each other. Not only were the sexy times hot AF, but I loved the softer, sweeter side of both of these guys and all the feels that came along with them.

If you read M/M, this needs to be on your TBR.

Must Listen

I’m new to the Chris Stapleton party. In fact, when I first saw him getting tons of accolades during the CMAs, I was kinda like “… why?” Then once I watched his performance with Justin Timberlake I totally got it. I’ve been a little obsessed with his music ever since. Nobody to Blame is my current favorite of his songs.

Must See

My latest obsession is How to Get Away with Murder. This show. I’ll admit I first decided to watch it after seeing pics of Frank’s hot, bearded ass (and, uh, this clip…) but that’s not what is making me stick around keep watching. It’s so totally effed up – but in that good way that only Shonda Rimes can really make work. It’s twisted and dark and even sexy and I can’t get enough.

  1. I have Strong Signal, but I have to convert the file because it’s a PDF. 🙁 🙁 🙁

I watched the first few episodes of How To Get Away With Murder, and it didn’t snag me. IDK why because I love Shonda Rimes

  2. I have Strong Signal too! I can’t believe you already read it! (Ok, I totally can. LOL) I’m so glad you loved it! And yessss Chris Stapleton! He rocks. I never jumped on the HTGAWM train, but maybe I will someday. Right now I already have SO MANY shows. My DVR is almost full. LOL.

  3. Well crap, I had a chance to get an ARC of Strong Signal and I passed it up because I’m swamped with review books and I swore to myself I’d cut back this year…but now I wish I’d gotten one! I love Megan’s other m/m books, and I’ve heard Santino’s are good too (I actually won Sutphin Boulevard from Megan a few weeks ago). Luckily I won’t have to wait long for release day! Glad to see you enjoyed it, and I’ll be back to read your review. 🙂
