Does it bother you that you’re ten years older than me?
Have you ever thought it’s wrong that you watched me fuck another guy on camera for months?
What do you want from me, really? All I wanted was my letter of recommendation, but now I’m stuck, aren’t I? Stuck under your thumb… And your body.
From cam girl to personal whore, and all by the age of twenty-one. You’ve got me good, haven’t you?
But guess what? I can play too. Grab the polish, because I’ve found your skeleton, and it's time to dust.
I’ll see you in class.
Oh and, Sir? I’m not wearing any panties.
P.s. you’re an asshole.
In a bookish world full of taboo love stories of differing varieties, the student-teacher relationship will always be one of my very favorites. (As long as, of course, all parties are consenting.) So many of the supposedly taboo romances make me roll my eyes because I fail to see the forbidden part, but there’s no doubt student-teacher relationships are frowned upon. And also incredibly hot.
Dear Professor is Blaire Drake’s debut novel and I’m excited I enjoyed it as much as I did. This was also the first cam girl book I’ve read, so it was a new world for me to learn about as well. The cam girl aspect really did pair up well with the taboo nature of the relationship between Darcy and her professor, Jordan.
I was sucked into this book from pretty much the very first page. Let’s just say Blaire knows how to catch your attention right off the bat. *fans self* There’s no doubt this book was hot as hell. The sexual tension between Darcy and Jordan was CRAZY, you know, until it exploded and then I was pretty sure my iPad was going to catch on fire. There’s not much of a slow burn here so you get gratification pretty quickly.
I’m not going to get too much into the plot because it’s really best if you go in as blind as possible. Dear Professor was full of delightfully dark(ish) twists and turns and I never really did guess how it would all turn out – let alone how we would ultimately get there. I loved the hot and antagonistic chemistry between Darcy and Jordan. I liked how they played off each other. Darcy didn’t take his crap laying down, which made it all even that much better. I love a strong heroine. Both of the characters had their fair share of growth over the course of the book and I was happy to be along for the ride.
If you enjoy hot and taboo romance, you should definitely give this one a chance. This is a fantastic debut novel. I can’t wait to see what Blaire gives us next.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
